The wet aged process involves placing steaks in a special environment for 28 days to marinate naturally in their juices. This process allows the meat to tenderize to perfection, which makes preparing, cooking and eating easier for Chicago’s discerning customers.
The dry aged process takes a little longer than wet aging to complete. Since it does take longer, it is also more expensive.
Chicago’s selections include Porterhouse, Filet Mignon and several types of Ribeye cuts taken from corn-fed beef. Other selections include hormone-free Premium Gold Angus cuts and juicy steak burgers. Customers with high-end tastes will enjoy fine cuts of Kobe-style steaks, best-selling cuts of beef that originated from Japan.
When placing an order, customers can do so by phone, fax or through Chicago’s online ordering system. If they have problems with an order or wish to cancel, they can reach customer service by online chat, phone, email or fax. Customers can also obtain a catalog or information packet by completing a request form online.
After selecting the meat of choice, customers may worry about how and when their orders will arrive. The Chicago steak giant eases its customers' worries by shipping each order carefully and meticulously. Each order ships frozen, surrounded by dry ice and in its own specially made reusable container.
Customers who purchase their steaks do not necessarily need to be at home when their order arrives. The special containers stay cold for about eight hours after delivery. However, customers can choose a delivery date up to 30 days in advance, if they wish to be present when their order arrives.
Thawing the steaks may take up to 18 hours in the refrigerator. This is the best way to keep the products’ freshness and taste. Chicago recommends not removing the vacuumed sealed wrapping until preparation. Orders that arrive in good condition should be cooked and eaten within six months. Customers can store their steaks in a freezer until they choose to prepare them. If an order arrives already thawed or warm, consumers should contact customer service.

Chicago Steak Company Review
My reviews are based on my entire customer experience. A "thumbs up" means I found enough value in the product to say I would order it again, and a "thumbs down" could mean it was a good product, but I would not buy it again at the price I paid for it. This is how I believe I can show you the best value for your money.

I have tried many delicious products from this company over the years. Today, I am taste-driving for you their 6 oz. All Natural Premium Gold Angus Filet Mignon. I purchased these four steaks in a package, so I estimate about $19 each. The package was on sale for about 40% off. Love that!

What I actually received. Where is the Marbling Wagyu Steaks are famous for?
They may look great grilled, but they tasted worse than a common supermarket steak.

Customers who want to purchase a higher grade of beef choose to order from this delivery company.
The company uses wet aged and dry aged methods to age its meat. Most other steak providers have one method of aging. Chicago Steak Co. give you a choice.
Chicago Steak Company Reviews of Porterhouse Steaks, Wagyu NY Strips, and Filet Mignon.
Everything about their service, including shipping and packaging was excellent. The steaks were individually packaged and vacuum-sealed, which did not leak during a slow defrost in my refrigerator. I have had similar products from other suppliers leak when the steaks were thawing out.
I prepared them on my stove top using a cast iron skillet to brown the edges and let them finish in my oven. I only added a simple steak seasoning to them. They were exceptional and fork tender. I would be happy to recommend these steaks from Chicago Steak Company.
I also purchased four 18 oz. Porterhouse Steaks. They tasted as good as they looked, and at $23.75 each, I thought they were a good value. The filet mignon side of the steak was large, and the steaks were thick. Everyone at the dining table complemented me on delicious they were.
I did not have as much of a great dining experience with their 12 oz. Wagyu NY Strips. Right out of the packaging I could see that there was no marbling, which is why one would pay $60 for a steak of this quality. Mine looked like common supermarket steaks. In fact, when I cooked them, they had very little in the way of flavor. I would not have paid $5 for a steak of this experience, much less $60. What a disappointment. Thankfully, I wasn't serving them to guests.
The Top Sirloins were a treat, and a good value at just $8.99 each. They were 10 oz. each, the perfect size for an individual steak dinner.
Top sirloins have a robust steak flavor, and these were no exception. In fact, they may have been the best Top Sirloin Steaks I have ever had.
Based on the products I have personally purchased and tried, I recommend Chicago Steak Company for the more common types of steak cuts, but not for the more expensive specialty steaks.
I especially recommend you signing up for their emails and take advantage of their specials. These have the best value, in my opinion.
We received 2 NY strips, a bag of King crab legs, and two lobster tails as a christmas present. We were more than disappointed. We get better steaks and wayyyy more value at our local grocery stores. We were appalled at the price for the quantity and quality received! Major thumbs down My husband was appalled at having to gently tell his children how nice it was for them to send this gift, BUT NEVER to order from this company again, as it was a tremendous waste of their hard earned money.
